Shelley is vastly experienced in Family Law, Wills and Estates. She holds dual degrees with a Bachelor of Arts and a Bachelor of Laws (Honours).
Shelley has been practicing law for over 26 years and brings all that experience to each and every one of her clients. Shelley is also a qualified collaborative family lawyer. This means Shelley is experienced in assisting all parties who are involved in negotiating settlement utilising the collaborative process of mutual decision making in order to avoid costly Court proceedings. This collaborative approach is not suitable for every couple but for the right people it is an alternative and respectful way of dealing with marriage breakdown and children.
Where a collaborative approach is not suitable, Shelley will strive to resolve her clients’ issues without the need to go to Court, but in the event Court proceedings are necessary, Shelley will ensure that her clients’ case is thoroughly prepared to achieve the best possible outcome.
Being a good lawyer is more than just knowing the law. It is about the experience one can bring to the table and one’s “bedside manner” in speaking to clients in a very friendly, respectful and supportive manner. Shelley has this together with the ability to quickly earn her clients’ trust and confidence which is imperative in the fields she practices.
