McLaughlin & Associates strives to be the employer of choice for those in the legal field. This is not something we merely give lip service to. For that reason we have developed many innovative ways to ensure that our team members can have the best of both worlds.

That's why at McLaughlin & Associates we provide a sick bay where staff can bring their children who may be unwell. That way they do not need to lose a day's work but at the same time have the benefit of having their children with them for the day and being able to check on them regularly.

We also have the 'Sun Room' set up to cater for children with a TV, DVD, video and computer. That way, mothers who find themselves at a loose end with respect to childcare or an off colour child can set their child up in the 'Sun Room' and check on them at regular intervals.

We do not know of any other legal firm who has gone to this extent to try and help working mothers balance the demands of work and family.

The 'Sun Room' is also available to staff during morning teas and lunches. Many of our staff are avid 'serial addicts' and can be found having their lunch in the comfort of the 'Sun Room' whilst watching 'Dr Phil', 'Oprah' or 'The Bold and the Beautiful.' Others chose the quiet end of the room to write letters or attend to personal matters during their break.

All staff have access to the Internet during their designated breaks to take care of those personal matters which they would otherwise have to do late at night.

On the work front our work practices and high-tech infrastructure removes frustrations and time wasting because of 'equipment' or 'technology' failure. Everything at McLaughlin & Associates is geared to ensure that your day runs as smoothly, effectively and productively as possible.
