Divorce
Unfortunately it is a fact of modern life that nearly 40% of marriages will fail (and the rate is even higher for second and third marriages!).
Divorce does not have to be a bitter and expensive process.
Usually, before you can apply for divorce you must have been separated from your spouse for a period of twelve (12) months (although there are exceptions to this rule). Application is then made to the Family Court for dissolution of the marriage.
Before granting such Application the Court must be satisfied that the marriage has broken down irretrievably, that the parties have been separated for twelve (12) months and where there are children of the marriage that adequate arrangements have been made between the spouses with respect to the children.
By placing the matter in our hands, we will be responsible for preparing all necessary documentation, filing it is the Family Court, arranging service of the Application on your spouse and attending Court for the hearing.
A divorce is a stressful and emotional experience in itself. Don’t add to the situation by trying to do your own divorce. Get an expert on your side.
